Wonderful! You're now ready to utilize the most recent version of Wecora (aka, Newcora). Now what?

Bad news: Well, first of all, right out of the gate, we need to all acknowledge that change is HARD, especially when you're used to working a set way. We get it! The tools we use here at Wecora go through upgrades almost weekly, so we really do understand.

Good news: All of the features you previously had (minus storyboards) are all still there! Wecora is MUCH more powerful than before, though, so there are many, many new offerings you don't want to miss.

To ensure you're off to the most successful start, we need to do just three quick things. Think of this as your onboarding checklist!:

  1. Uninstall your old Wecora web clipper. Sayonara sucker! You're old news now!

  2. Install the fancy new clipper, Wecora Capture. Be sure you understand the major enhancements here.

  3. Sync your phone so that you can text images to Wecora.

That's it! Those are the only actions required for setting you up for success...but we think you'll enjoy seeing more! If so, keep going!

  4. Once your phone has been authenticated, go ahead and text a picture to that Wecora number you just received a confirmation text from (be sure to store this number in your contacts as something like "Wecora Library"). Go ahead...try it out now!

  5. Great! Head on over to your Wecora dashboard if you aren't there already. You see that image you just text us? Awesome! Now click on it...see how it was auto-named? Go ahead and click on the meta-data field...this is AI in action!!!! This image is now easy for you to find when you need it later on, and with NO work on your behalf. This is the power of the new Wecora library! Did you notice that you can now share a single ITEM in Wecora? No boards required!

  6. Now go ahead and try searching...anything! By manufacturer, color, client name...you name it! Again, this is your Wecora library-take all of your library items where you need them. Don't forget that you can now access this entire library from within Wecora Capture too. This is helpful if you need to refer to an item's dimensions, to confirm which colors it was available in, to see when it was ordered, etc.

When it comes to BOARDS, here's a few things you'll definitely want to note (though you'll discover much more as you explore):

  • Right-click. You can now right-click on board items to move them, copy them, share them, etc.

  • Your custom app library. Love adding notes to your boards? Don't ever use checklists? That's cool. It's your custom Wecora now, so turn on an off apps that you need by clicking the + in your sidebar.

  • Unique view options. Toggle your views to whatever best suits what you're working on. And the best news? (Other than the Presentation View) They are all working views, meaning you can perform all the basic functions (adding items, moving items, editing prices, etc) while in that view.

Sharing possibilities have grown!

  • Sharing individual items. As mentioned above, you can now share individual library items without having to add them to boards. Simply copy the link and text it or email it.

  • Sharing boards. You can now share via link (and with view permissions!) if you want to quickly share, but without someone needing to comment or vote on items. This is great for contractors, workrooms, etc.

  • You see it all, but control what they see. Now, you can see all you need on the board, but then decide what is visible to those you share with at the point of sharing. Want to test what they see? Just click SHARE, COPY LINK, and then paste the link in your browser...easy!

Bonus Features! We don't think you'll want to miss these.

  • Custom fields. Wish you had a place you can create a yes/no toggle field (i.e. "Item has been delivered...YES!)? Well now you can utilizing custom fields. These are accessible by clicking on any item and going to CUSTOM FIELDS.

  • Auto-fill information using Capture. You can now point and click info from the web and add it to your item details. No manual entry required.

  • Status Labels. We know how you guys love some status labels. Now, these are just referred to as "labels", which you can then decide if you want displayed on items (like a status label) or not (in which case they are being used more for organization). Be sure to check out this article about the labels (don't miss the new label filters too!).

And...There's so much more. Each person seems to have many questions in the beginning, but after just a short time clicking around, they're pros and no doubt you will be too!

Did this answer your question?
