How to create, rename, share, delete, and more!

Projects are really the first layer of organization within Wecora. You can think of a project as a project binder of sorts. Wecora boards are then created and stored within these projects. So if my clients are the Smiths, I will most likely create Wecora project entitled "Smith Residence". Within that project, I'll probably create a board for the kitchen, another for the bathroom, one for the paint schedule, etc. Make sense?

So how do you create new projects? Great question! Two ways...

  1. From your dashboard, click the orange NEW BOARD button, name the board (i.e. "Kitchen"), then see where it says "Save in"? Click to select a project, scroll to the bottom of that dropdown and select +CREATE NEW PROJECT.

  2. From any board, go to FILE>NEW> PROJECT.

Now, what if I need to change the name of one of my Wecora projects?

Another great question! You can do this from the project dashboard. Select the project you wish to address (from your account dashboard), then click the SETTINGS icon in the top right. From there, you will see options to RENAME, ARCHIVE (hide for now), or even TRANSFER a project entirely to a different member of your team (if you have additional users).

Now, since we hit on the fact that many boards can "live" within a Wecora project (typically we see at least 8 boards per project!), please know that you do have the ability to share an entire project at once!

To do this, go to the project dashboard, then click the share icon in the top right, and invite others from there.

What if I need to delete an entire Wecora project? This can be done from the project dashboard as well. Click the settings icon in the top right of the dashboard, then DELETE PROJECT.

*Note- deleting projects cannot be reversed! Please think long and hard to determine if you really want to delete a project forever.

Perhaps a better option may be to archive projects that you aren't currently using. Once archived, the boards are inaccessible for you and those you've previously shared with....until you unarchive the project. The board items used will not be reflected in your image library for an archived project. If you wish to unarchive a project at any time, you can do so by going to your account dashboard (click the Wecora logo in the top left of your screen), select ARCHIVED PROJECTS on the left-hand sidebar, then UNARCHIVE the project you wish to re-activate.
