Understanding why some images appear blurring when they are larger

You may be experiencing the following. You capture or upload an image that looks like this from your computer, the web search or Capture:

And then when you zoom that image to more than one column, all or parts of it look blurry or distorted, like this:

This is completely normal and has nothing to do with Wecora. Any time in any program you take a SMALLER image and make it LARGER, it's going to get slightly or significantly distorted based on how much you zoom it. When you grab images from the web using Capture, a lot of the time. you are capturing a thumbnail or small image, so when it shows up on the board, it will, unfortunately, look slightly blurry.

So how can you deal with this?

  1. Don't zoom small images. They will be blurry.

  2. Look for larger versions of the images you want to add to a board and use those, even if it means saving them first from the website and uploading them directly instead of using Capture

  3. If you are creating or saving the image yourself, such as a floor plan or Canva design, opt for the larger size, at least 1400 pixels wide, as that will look better when smaller or zoomed on the board.
